BeingBeautifullyEducated’s name was inspired by two people, Nina Simone (Young, Gifted, and Black) and James Brown (I’m Black and I’m Proud). I want our company’s name to reflect the importance of education and equally important to let not only young people to be aware, but to let all people know that it is OK to be Educated because ‘to be educated is to be beautiful’!

Tamíka Jones-Tabbs, MEd, MSR, A self-proclaim nerd, philanthropist, and lifelong Educator with a distinct focus on exploring and instructing through Culturally Relevant Pedagogy. She is an EduPreneur who lives life through the lens of educating ALL YOUTH specifically Urban Youth.

As a dual enrollment educator at one of the country's largest school districts, she has a distinct focus on exploring and instructing through Culturally Relevant Education. Her experiences include but are not limited to, College and Career Readiness, FAFSA, Dual Enrollment, Reading Specialist, and College Prep. Due to the beginning of student loan repayments in October 2023, we have made an important shift to help more individuals become debt-free from student loans by identifying the best repayment plan offered by the U.S. Department of Education while presenting the best path toward student loan forgiveness.

Supporting the Community.

We are a boutique company rooted in education and sustaining education with our youth. We are not only about creating educational opportunities through our community service workshops and events but we partner with The Zuri Of Nubia Fashions Conscious Clothing to create Culturally Conscious Clothing that is inspired by Our Culture, to create scholarship opportunities. We stand on and care deeply about being the “change we are willing to see”.

We give back in multiple ways. The CEO is first an Educator therefore we are charged with all of the Principles of Kwanzaa and through monetary donations raised throughout the year we can provide scholarships to our graduating high school seniors and those who continue to matriculate to HBCUs. The desire to own a business was not just for ownership but for working towards creating scholarships for current graduating high school seniors and showing EXTRA LOVE to those graduates who decided to attend an HBCU and who have financial need.
